Co-benefits of building efficiency measures on occupants and society

Our buildings are major contributors to air pollution and climate change. Despite their energy intensity, buildings progressively become more obsolete in protecting us from unprecedented environmental exposures. On top of that, most indoor spaces have inadequate indoor environmental quality leading into poor occupants’ health and wellbeing. In this seminar talk we will examine recent evidence showing how better buildings can achieve both climate mitigation and adaptation goals through scalable interventions.
